HISTORY

We’ve partnered with Henley Literary Festival for 15 years, delivering beautifully crafted set and AV installations for some of the world’s top authors and personalities.

TODAY

In 2024, we took a two-pronged approach to production, delivering bold yet tasteful installations across two prestigious Henley-on-Thames venues.

"Thank you team ITM. Your team were an absolute dream this year and it all worked so smoothly! I have nothing but praise."

Harriet Ryan-Reed
Henley Literary Festival

Every year, the Henley Literary Festival brings together a wide range of authors, entertainers, and speakers from various genres and backgrounds across the globe. We’re proud to have been a key production partner for 15 amazing years.

For 2024, the festival ran from 28 September to 6 October and featured over 120 events, including talks, performances, workshops, and discussions for both adults and children.

The prestigious lineup included renowned authors like Paula Hawkins, David Nicholls, and Jodi Picoult, alongside personalities such as Michael Palin and Shirley Ballas.

With such a high-profile panel, our production had to be as engaging and impactful as the eloquent speakers on stage.

Two-Pronged Production

The festival spanned two key venues: Henley Town Hall and a large marquee at Phyllis Court Club by the Thames. A consistent yet unique approach to production was essential, making sure the look, feel, and spirit of the event were maintained across both spaces.

At Henley Town Hall, our focus was on maximising audience capacity while working within the constraints of the in-house stage. Despite the limitations, we struck a perfect balance between screen size and impactful brand graphics, while maintaining a large downstage footprint for furnishings.

Due to the stage dimensions, we designed a rear-projection set that used the space in the most effective way – accommodating the beautiful (but sizable) sofas. Sponsorship presence was also a high priority, so we creatively designed column graphics that seamlessly incorporated both sponsor and festival branding within the compact space.

Over at Phyllis Court, we created a stunning 9' x 24' 'bookcase' canvas set wrap, complemented by a 6m x 2m stage, elevated to 600mm for enhanced visibility.

Equipped with four 85” displays – two side screens for dynamic content and two relay monitors – our installation helped make sure that flawless visuals and crystal-clear coverage from every angle.

With 2024 now in the books, we look forward to the next chapter of the Henley Literary Festival in 2025.
